A brass ball valve is a valve device made of copper-zinc alloy. It opens and closes by rotating a ball 90 degrees around a valve stem. Its structure consists of a valve body, ball, valve stem, and seals, and it is suitable for controlling various media, including liquids and gases.
The brass ball valve evolved from the plug valve. The ball, as the opening and closing element, is driven by the valve stem to rotate 90 degrees. Fixed ball valves use an upper and lower bearing structure to reduce operating torque, making them particularly suitable for high-pressure, large-diameter applications. Their floating seat can push the sealing ring tightly against the ball under media pressure to ensure a tight seal.
Ease of operation: Opening and closing time requires only a quarter turn, suitable for frequent operation.
Fluid control: When fully open, the flow path matches the pipe diameter, and fluid resistance is negligible.
Multi-directional adjustment: Multi-way ball valves can control media merging, splitting, and flow direction switching.
Enhanced sealing: The ball valve injects a special lubricating oil between the sealing surfaces to form an oil film, which enhances sealing and reduces operating torque.
